The expectations are high and with the successful track record held by Leonar’s top-rated restaurant, Chavella’s, the end result looks promising. Arturo Leonar is a master at his craft, managing to infuse the authentic Mexican flavors of his food with the memories he attained growing up in Mexico City. He has transformed typical Mexican street food, such as Chorizo Tostadas and Torta de Aguacate con Queso, and refined it in an elegant perfectly executed manner while keeping its notable Latin heat. While satisfying the appetites of adventurous patrons, Leonar has been able to bring to life an aesthetically pleasing vision (with the presentation of flags, dramatic colors, and tiffany inspired lamps) making any diner feel as though they were savoring a zesty meal in a small town in Mexico. Likewise, the presentation of the entire menu in Spanish compliments and defines Chavella’s as a culturally invigorating restaurant experience.
